On Christmas day, you gave us a scare, Mummy got some bleeding so was warded in KKH for 3 days 2 nights again.

Mummy really doesn't like to stay in hospital, don't scare Mummy like this ok?

Mummy really hopes you can hang in there longer. Next time when Mummy goes hospital, will be to give birth to you, ok?

30 weeks!

Last week was really a scary week. Mummy started to have contractions just when you turned 29th weeks.

So Mummy was admitted to KKH. I spend 7 days there under drip, pills and constant observation. As Mummy had twice premature labor before, so the doctors were rather concerned that you will be born early too. Their NICU is so full, that they cannot take in anymore babies, so they really try their ways to prevent you from coming out early.

Mummy is so glad that you are still hanging there. You are in week 30 now. You are doing better than your brothers, as they were borned 20 plus weeks. You actually reach 30 weeks, great job!

Now is just waiting for you to grow and grow, hopefully you can be patient and wait another 4 more weeks before coming out, ok? By then you will be in week 34, doctors say babies born in week 34 relatively can do well, and don't have to stay in hospital. Jia you! violet! Continue to grow well and strong!

Mummy is entering into 3rd trimester. For last two times pregnancies, Mummy has no chance to go into 3rd trimester and your brothers were already so eager to come out. Now finally Mummy is going to 3rd trimester. Good job gal!

Daddy is wondering whether you are really a girl cause the gynae only mentioned once that you are a girl girl. But Mummy believes you are. :)

Whether you are girl or boy, as long as you are healthy, strong, and safe, we are happy.

Tomorrow, we will all be going to Furama Riverfront hotel for 2 days 1 night stay. Lets enjoy together, it is to celebrate Daddy's birthday. Be a good girl ok??

Oh yah, remember when it is time for you to come out, please warns Mummy first, ok? Let Mummy gets to hospital on time, remember, you are only safe to be born in hospital ok?

Daddy's birthday

Today is Daddy's birthday, and in about 2 days time, you will be in week 28. This is the first time Mummy will be in 3rd trimester. Mummy is soo happy. Violet, my dear girl, do continue to grow well and strong ok?

If it is fated that you have to come out early say around 30 plus weeks, please makes sure you are very healthy and strong before coming out. You know Mummy actually has a secret wish, if you really need to come out early at around 30 weeks, can you come out on 23rd December? That is the birthdate of your eldest gor gor. I am thinking if you come out on that date, it seems like your gor gor is coming back to us, or rather he is blessing you to us...

By the way, you be a good girl ok? Daddy, Mummy, gor gor and you, we will be going furama riverfront for a 2 days 1 night stay this coming weekends. You must guai guai, and let us all enjoy ourselves together as a family ok??

Mummy bought another toy for you, fisher price laugh and learn table. Though you may only know how to play with it later, but Mummy bought it cause it is rather cheap (bought from another auntie). :) Violet all these stuff are for you, you must come out safely to use them ok?

More nice clothings for you

I think I will not get anymore clothings for you as a few aunties said will pass down their daughters' clothes to me. Mummy just bought a few pieces of nice ones for you to wear when going out. :)

Violet violet, Mummy just wants to let you know I love you a lot. So does Daddy who always want to touch you but Mummy doesn't allow. Your Gor Gor too, he wants to share his toys with you.

Today, Daddy and Mummy have signed you up with cord life. We have decided to store your cord blood with cord life, just like your gor gor.

No matter how little is the amount, we feel that it is important to store gor gor and your cord blood cause it is like an insurance for both of you.

Anyway, good job Violet, you are in your 27th weeks now. Continue to jia you, and be healthy and strong. Continue to kick and be active in mummy's womb to let mummy know you are well.

You are about 26 weeks plus, and you are around 940grams.

Mummy was hoping you will be 1kg liao...

Anyway, tomorrow you will be week 27. Mummy is happy, hope you are growing well, healthy and strong.

Gynae told Mummy to aim for 32 weeks. Violet, be a good girl ok? You can only come out earliest End December or early January. Listen to the gynae, k? Make sure you gain enough weight, and grow fully and well.

By the way, Mummy has started to buy things for you. Mummy is happy that we are coming closer to have you, you must continue to jia you, so that you can come into this world and use all the stuff Mummy has gotten for you! Jia you! Remember too, you can only be born in hospital, not anywhere else.

25th weeks

Precious violet

Mummy ordered two little nice clothes for u online. I asked daddy to buy one, and me buy one. That will be our little gifts for you. Actually Mummy really wants to buy lots of nice little things for you, but is afraid to do so. Mummy had lost your elder gor gor before, so the phobia and fear is still in me.

You are in week 25 now. You must be really good this week, cause Dr Ann Tan is not in Singapore. She will only be back next week, so this week, make sure you be a good girl, ok??

Yesterday night, Mummy felt on and off hardening/tightening in the lower abdomen which lasted for 1-2 hours. Mummy and Daddy were sooooo worried. We were worried that they were contractions! Dearest precious violet, no no no, 25 weeks not a good week for u to come out. Please please please be patient ok? This week, be a good girl ok?

Mummy and Daddy are really looking forward to having you with us. Mummy is looking forward to celebrating birthday with you next year. Please be a good dear good girl ok?

Also, please make sure that no matter what, you must let Mummy gets to hospital in time to deliver you. You can only be delivered in hospital ok? That is the safest place for you to be born, and for Mummy to deliver, ok?

Meanwhile, absorb more nutrients and continue to jia you!! Love you!

Week 24

You are in week 24 now yippee.

No, now its not the time to come out. But once over week 24, doctors have to save the babies, so mummy is happy that at least you have cross the important hurdle.

Now, Mummy is looking forward to you in week 28, then week 32, ok? Please continue to jia you and put on more weight, and grow fully and well.

Mummy has also taken two painful injections to strengthen your lungs. Hopefully it helps.

Baby violet, 3 more months, and we will be seeing you and carrying you in our arms. Mummy is so looking forward. Baby violet, jia you! Mummy, daddy and gor gor love you very much.

I m sorry, I am not a good mummy. :(

Sometimes, I will harbour the thoughts of just having dash gor gor, and be carefree, and worry free...

I m so sorry, Mummy definitely does not mean to think that way. I want you, you are a dream to Mummy, and will make our family completes.

But Mummy is getting tired of all the resting, and worrying...so I think that way at times.

19 weeks

Hi baby violet, Mummy has been feeling your movements these few days. :) You are especially more active in the night.

Mummy loves to feel your movements, as I know you are safe.

Mummy asked you in my heart before whether you like your name "Violet", you gave Mummy a soft kick to indicate "Yes". Mummy is glad that you like your name.

I think you must be hearing Mummy talk a lot about my weight gain. Yes, Mummy is very concern cause Mummy has gained quite a lot of weight so far, almost 12-13kg. I am very worry that being so oversized may lead to problems in 3rd trimester. I am worry that I will have a hard time to shed off those excess weights too.

But no matter what, violet, do believe that Mummy is willing to be fat just to have you. I just hope you continue to grow well each day, and be a healthy baby.

Mummy wants you to be with us. Baby violet, do continue to jia you! Now is going to be crucial weeks for you, remember not to come out early. Remember to be patient.

Mummy just hope I can get rid of those negative thoughts in my mind, and stay positive.

Baby violet, if you sense any negative thoughts in Mummy, please ignore them, ok? just focus on the positive ones.

Breathless and heart beat faster

Mummy felt heartbeat beating faster and also a bit breathless nowadays.

Gettting worried, I am not sure whether there will be enough oxygen going to you.

Sorry baby, Mummy is rather useless, cause Mummy's health is not good, be it mentally or physically. sigh.

Another baby

Mummy just realised mummy's very good friend (we knew each other since primary school!) is pregnant as well, and her baby will be born around the same time as you (10 days earlier). Mummy is so happy cause Mummy can chat with her more.

Dear dear baby, just hope that both of us will be able to hold our healthy babies in our arms and celebrate together!

After the long wait, Daddy and Mummy will finally be able to see you next monday on 18th!

Mummy is very useless. I don't know why I just cannot stop thinking and worrying.

Now is 2am in the morning, I should be resting and sleeping, yet I could not sleep, but tried to distract myself from thinking all the negative things.

I am going crazy I know. I don't know how to overcome all these thoughts?

Sometimes, Mummy even felt like giving you up, I am so sorry for habouring this thought. I just don't have the confidence to carry on, I don't know whether I can take it mentally and physically.

But having you is what Mummy wishes for very very very much. I cannot give up. I know you are doing your best. Mummy will also do my best for you too.

This week marks the 7th week for you. Baby baby, do continue to grow well. You are Mummy's darling.

Daddy on reservist

Daddy is going for reservist starting from today for 2 and a half weeks.

Mummy has requested Dr Tan to write a letter to excuse Daddy from staying in camp, as Mummy will get panic at night without Daddy around. Mummy tends to get panic at night. Useless Mummy.

Baby baby, be good ok? Continue to grow well, and after Daddy finishes his reservist, we should be seeing you.

Mummy saw you today! Yeah, Mummy finally can see you with your heartbeat! Mummy is so happy that you are doing well! Great job! :)

Mummy is not sure whether I should continue to see Dr Ann Tan or changes to a KKH gynae. To Mummy, Mount Elizabeth hospital is a bit far. As Daddy was driving Mummy to ME this Morning, I was having very bad morning sickness, and yet the distance was so far. Mummy was really afraid I might vomit in Daddy's car.

But Dr Tan seems very professional, and Mummy felt quite comfortable with her. Her charges are high though! Mummy is not working now, not sure if we can afford the high charges.

Anyway, we shall see how again. Daddy and Mummy are willing to spend all our money on you as long as you can be borned healthy, strong and full term.

Mummy is going to start on multi vitamins, which Mummy hates most! I hate to swollow pills. But for your sake, I will have to do it.

3 days MCs

Baby baby, yesterday Mummy finally saw a small watersac. However, Mummy still could not see you. The gyane told Mummy got to wait around 2 more weeks. Wow so long. Anyway, Mummy will be seeing Dr Ann Tan next Monday, hopefully your heart will be beating strong by then.

Mummy is on 3 days MCs now. Mummy may be extending the MCs to 2 more days and see if Dr Ann Tan will be able to give Mummy more MCs next week. Else, Mummy will start taking no pay leave.

The school already knew about Mummy's pregnancy and is getting another teacher to coteach with Mummy. They know about Mummy's history, and is predicting Mummy will go on leave soon, I think.

Anyway, baby baby, you must jia you, and grows well. Mummy has sacrificed a lot, and maybe even my career just to ensure your safety. You must be strong and come out full term, and healthy, ok?

Week 5

Mummy will be seeing you today, as Mummy had some brown discharge over the weekends, and would like to seek doctor's advice.

Mummy used to have abnormal discharge when I was pregnant with your two Gor Gors as well. This time, not again!

Anyway, Mummy was quite worried about you, and was eager to see whether the water sac is visible now.

Mummy even hopes to see your heartbeat now, but not very likely as it is too early.

Anyway, my little one, do continue to grow well. You will be forming all your organs etc now, please grows well, and forms well.

Baby baby, how are you?

Mummy went back to work after 2 days of MCs. Didn't write to you because ever since hearing what the Raffles gynae said, Mummy got a bit sianz, and discouraged.

But baby baby, you are doing well inside Mummy right?

Mummy is still having cough, and it seems to get worse. The cough mixture is not effective at all.

Baby baby, Mummy hopes to be able to see you soon. Maybe next Monday will pester Daddy to bring me to check again. Hope can see a small water sac.

Mummy on MCs for two days

Went to see doctor just now, and doctor gave Mummy two days of MCs to rest.

Mummy actually had cough for quite some time, and sneezing quite badly at night.

Doctor said might be virus infection. It worried Mummy as I don't know whether the virus or the drugs will affect your formation?

You know your 2nd gor gor has moderate hole in his heart when he was borned. Mummy remembered I caught flu virus and was on flu medicine during the 1st trimester as well. Mummy was thinking whether it was due to that?

Or could it be due the chinese medicine I drank during 1st trimester because at that time, Mummy had spotting, and grandma said drinking some chinese medicine could keep the baby safe.

Now Mummy is also drinking Chinese medicine from Ma Kuang, and is planning to do that for the rest of the pregnancy as Mummy hopes it will build up Mummy's health and keep you safely inside me.

But so many unknowns, so many fears in me.

Mummy really wants you to grow well. Mummy is really useless, I don't know how to protect you and your two gor gors. :(

Mummy has decided from today onwards, Mummy will recite 大悲咒everyday. Hopefully, buddhas will see my sincerety and grant you a healthy, strong, and full body.

Seeing you today again

Mummy had wanted to take some MCs to rest at home, cause Mummy really feels very very tired so I asked Daddy to go to Raffles Women's clinic with me at Compasspoint today.

Sadly, the gynae didn't want to give Mummy any MCs. She also discouraged Mummy by saying that you might not exist! I hated the lady. She told me there were the possibilities of ectopic pregnancy or even biochemical pregnancy. Both types of pregnancies meant that you didn't exist. She said that because she did a scan for mummy and could not see anything, not even a tiny sac.

:( Baby, Mummy believe you do exist and you are here to be our child. Please be strong for Mummy. Mummy is not able to take any MCs to rest, so Mummy still needs to walk a lot. You must really be strong, ok? Mummy will visit another gyane in two weeks time, by then we should be able to see a sac with your heartbeat.

Maybe tomorrow Mummy will be taking a day MC to rest because Mummy had been having cough for quite some time. But Mummy is a bit worried that if I take cough mixture, it will not be good for you. I really hope not, will ask the doctor to give me the mildest mixture.

Work

Mummy is going back to work today after a few weeks of holiday. Mummy actually feels very tired today, and has no mood or energy, but still Mummy has to go to work.

Hopefully after seeing Dr Ann Tan on Thursday, she can give me some MCs and Hospitalisation leaves to rest at home.

Dear baby, continues to jia you and grows well. Mummy will be standing and walking quite a bit, but you must continue to be incredible, ok?

It may be way too early to think of a name for you. But Mummy has already thought of names for you.

Mummy will name you, if you are a boy:

and if you are a girl:

Violet Tan

Your two gor gors are name Jared (meaning strong) and Dash (incredible dash). So you will be Jack or Violet!

Both of the names are from the Incredibles cartoon! hee. Daddy and Mummy hope that you will be like both of your gor gors, they are so incredible!

Daddy becomes a Vegetarian

Baby, baby, you know how much Daddy loves you? Daddy has decided to be a vegetarian from now till Mummy smoothly gives birth to you.

Daddy decides to stop eating meat, because he wants to gather more goodness, and hopefully, Mummy will have a smooth pregnancy and delivery, and gives birth to a healthy, strong, and full term baby.

My dear dear baby, Daddy and Mummy love you with all our hearts. Daddy loves you in his way, and Mummy in my way, your gor gor though still very young, loves you as well, do continue to jia you for the sakes of us all. We are really looking forward to living with you, and watching you grow each day.

Mummy will be going back to work tomorrow. Mummy will have to walk and stand a lot. My baby, do be strong, ok? Mummy will be resting soon. Mummy hopes to be able to ask Dr Ann Tan to give me MCs and hospitalisation leaves to rest at home after seeing her on Thursday. If nothing goes wrong, Mummy can start resting from next week onwards.

Check up at Thomson medical at AMK hub

Today, Mummy got a bit worried of the pain in my stomach cause Mummy was not sure whether the pain came from the stomach or womb, so I asked Daddy to accompany me to Thomson Medical at AMK hub for checkup.

Mummy did the pregnancy test, and it was positive. The gynae did a scan for mummy but we could not see you. It was still too early. The gynae told Mummy in about two weeks time, we should be able to see your heartbeat.

Mummy really hopes to be able to see your heartbeat soon. :) Next thursday, Mummy will go to see Doctor Ann Tan. Hopefully, can see the water sac by then.

Meanwhile, my little baby, continue to grow well in Mummy's womb, jia you!

When to start resting?

For you my baby, Mummy will really start taking good care of myself throughout the pregnancy.

Mummy just hopes that all my efforts will pay off, and you will be born healthy, strong and full term.

But Mummy is wondering when I should start resting? Should I rest now, or should I rest till you are 3 months old?

Mummy is really not sure. Actually, Daddy and Mummy are not wealthy so we will have to really save and shrimp when Mummy goes on no pay, but for your sake, we are willing to do anything.

Just remember baby, you must jia you, everyday keep growing well, and most importantly, remain in Mummy's womb till full term.

Waiting for your arrival

My dear baby, Mummy is patiently waiting for your arrival. Mummy has bought a romper for you. I do not know whether you are a boy or girl so I bought white colour, but it doesn't matter, Mummy just hopes that you can grow to be strong and healthy, and most importantly, to be full term baby.

Hope that throughout this 10 months with Mummy, both of us will be strong and healthy, and everything will go on smoothly for us.

Mummy's 1st post

After waiting for 2 years plus, I can finally have you. :)

Daddy and Mummy are so happy to have you. Welcome to join our happy family. Besides Daddy and Mummy, You also have two gor gors who will love you as much as we do. One of your gor gor is up in heaven watching over you.

I know it is too early now. Mummy's date of menses is not even here yet, but I already bought 6 pregnancy test kits to test for pregnancy. So far, out of the 6 (2 clearblue, 1 watson, 1 guardian, 2 predictors) , 5 shows positive results.

Mummy really hopes you are a gift from Guan Yin Pu Sa to join our family. Daddy and Mummy are looking forward to spending time with you.
